Super Mario-Themed Wedding Invitations
“Sometimes I get distracted from doing concept art, and I experiment with other crafty-esque hobbies. Take this for instance.
I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to help design and construct the wedding invitations for my friends Esther and Ryan for their wedding. Some of you may actually recognize them as the couple sitting next to me, on my bizarre moment on Conan O’ Brian almost a year ago. Esther was the one wearing the Rikkuma (I hope I spelled that right) costume sitting next to me, and Ryan next to her. When she told me she wanted to have a Super Mario Bros (the
8 bit original specifically) themed wedding, I got super excited and asked her if I could help out in any way. Luckily, I was able to contribute and it turned out to be a very fun experience.”
Landscapes Volume 2
Landscapes: Volume 2 is the second of a three part series (probably). I again show off my beautiful home state of Arizona and I also made several trips to Utah. This video has some iconic landmarks that we have seen before. I felt that showing them again with motion controlled HDR and/or night timelapse would be a new way to see old landmarks.
BrainStorm’s Science Print Set - amazing!
“Babies are just little drunk people”
Pictory: Love without Language -
Sweet stories of what we’ve learned from our animal friends.
People are complicated. Animals are simple. Within a few weeks of adopting my first dog last year, I realized that getting a pet brings the most predictable and guaranteed form of love there is.
You may notice that I edited out all of the names of the animals below. I learned this from David Sedaris when he talked about writing a book of fables. “I didn’t want any animal to have a name. … Sometimes someone will have a cat, and you ask, ‘What’s your cat’s name?’ And they say, ‘Critter!’ And you think, Oh, I hate your cat. And they say, ‘Diane.’ And you think, I like your cat.”
The thing is, you don’t need to know the names to know the stories. Just like you don’t need words to understand Critter.
